SH 130, TxDOT
The SH 130 Smart Freight Corridor project is one of the nation’s most sophisticated smart road deployments. Cavnue, a Consor company, worked with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to develop a corridor that combines digital and physical infrastructure to provide real-time safety and operational insights.
The initial 4-mile deployment became operational in 2024. Equipped with sensors, cameras, radar, and wireless communications, the future 21-mile corridor will support data-driven operations and connected vehicle technologies.
Memphis/West Tennessee Smart Freight Corridor, TDOT
The Memphis/West Tennessee Smart Freight Corridor project is bringing advanced roadway intelligence to a critical 31-mile segment of I-40 connecting Memphis and Blue Oval City. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) selected Cavnue, a Consor company, to lead a multi-year pilot that will deploy digital infrastructure and real-time corridor monitoring to improve freight mobility, safety, and operational decision-making.
Beginning with an initial 5-mile deployment, the Smart Road Platform will use cameras, sensors, and AI-driven analytics to provide lane-level visibility of traffic conditions, incidents, and roadway activity. This real-time operational insight will be delivered directly to TDOT’s Transportation Management Center, supporting faster incident response, improved corridor reliability, and more informed decision-making.
I-95 Next Generation Traffic Operations Data Service, VDOT
The I-95 Next Generation Traffic Operations Data Service project is advancing traffic management along one of the East Coast’s most heavily traveled and commercially important corridors. In partnership with VDOT, Cavnue, a Consor company, is deploying its Smart Road Platform along an initial 8-mile segment of I-95 to provide continuous, lane-level visibility into traffic conditions, incidents, and roadway activity.
Using a dense network of cameras, sensors, and digital infrastructure, the platform creates a live digital model of corridor operations and delivers actionable intelligence directly to VDOT’s Traffic Operations Center. The system is designed to improve incident detection, support more proactive traffic management, and provide a scalable foundation for future connected and automated vehicle technologies across Virginia’s transportation network.
SR 307 Smart Freight Corridor, GDOT
Connecting the Port of Savannah’s Garden City Terminal with I-16, the SR 307 Smart Freight Corridor project is bringing advanced roadway intelligence to one of Georgia’s most important freight routes. Cavnue, a Consor company, is working with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to deploy smart road technology along a 6-mile segment to improve visibility, safety, and operational performance in a high-volume trucking environment.
Using sensors, cameras, and digital infrastructure, the corridor will provide real-time, lane-level insight into traffic conditions, incidents, and roadway hazards. The platform will support faster incident response and more informed traffic management while helping GDOT prepare for continued freight growth tied to one of the nation’s busiest ports.
