If you’ve spent time driving on the East Coast of the United States, you probably know that I-95 is the primary north-south interstate that runs from the Canadian border in Maine all the way to Miami, Florida. You may not know, however, that I-95 is the longest north-south interstate and among the oldest in the US, serving some of the most densely populated cities in the country. All of this makes it an incredibly important throughway for communities along the East Coast—one of which we’re proud to have provided Construction Engineering and Inspection on by way of Florida Department of Transportation District 4’s design-build of SR 9/I-95 Express Lane Phase 3B-1.

A 1,500-day project that transformed this critical path with dual express lanes, innovative noise barrier walls, ITS/toll collection equipment, and LED lighting, along with optimized drainage and ramp designs, we’re thrilled to see this project selected by Design-Build Institute of America Florida Region as a 2022 Design-Build Project of the Year!
