Spanish Fork River Trail, Dripping Rock Segment

Spanish Fork City, Utah

To expand its river trail system and improve public access to natural spaces, Spanish Fork City is adding a new trail system, including a segment near Dripping Rock, a year-round stream and local recreation spot. The project included a suspension bridge that clear-spans the Spanish Fork River, minimizing environmental impacts while enhancing community connectivity. The design expanded Consor’s earlier work, which added five trails and two pedestrian bridges to this trail network.

Environmental services played a central role in advancing the project. Consor conducted a biological assessment for threatened and endangered species, completed a cultural history inventory, and performed stream flow hydraulic analysis to support permitting. The team secured a stream alteration permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers without requiring additional mitigation or monitoring, demonstrating a thoughtful design that aligned with regulatory goals and protected the surrounding environment.

Project Highlights
