Crosstown Parkway Segment 1 – Manth Lane to US 1
To complete a vital east-west corridor, the City of Port St. Lucie advanced the final segment of the $150 million, 10-mile Crosstown Parkway, extending 1.5 miles from Manth Lane to US 1. This environmentally sensitive segment included a 4,000-foot-long bridge crossing the Savannas Preserve State Park, North Fork St. Lucie River Aquatic Preserve, and sovereign submerged lands. Early project phases focused on environmental permitting and impact assessment, including a conceptual permit from the South Florida Water Management District and informal U.S. Army Corps coordination, alongside preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement and Section 4(f) evaluation.
Consor led the corridor’s final design and design-build criteria package, which included a new six-lane roadway and bridge. Services included overall project management, hydrology studies and drainage design, landscape and irrigation plans, utility coordination, and structures design. Environmental tasks included wetland delineation, wildlife surveys, Section 7 consultation, permitting, and interagency coordination. The team advanced this project responsibly across protected ecosystems while meeting transportation and mobility goals.
