Treeline East Water Storage and Pump Station

Fort Myers, Florida

CONSOR provided design services to the City of Fort Myers for the East Water Storage Tank and Pump Station. The City’s water distribution system is overwhelmed in the eastern portion of Fort Myers where development of residential neighborhoods has resulted in low water pressure in the area. Pressures during peak demand times border on having enough pressure to accommodate fire flow requirements. Our professional services included the design and permitting the installation of a 2.5 mg water storage tank, booster pump station, electrical and instrumentation control building, and installation of waterlines connecting to the City distribution system. With the City’s site being located so close to the residential neighborhoods, the residents have been vocal about making this tank visually appealing. Coupled with the oddly shaped property the City owns, we elected to partially bury a cast-in-place contoured tank and dress it up with architectural features such as a false mansard roof, screen wall with decorative wall cap, and native perimeter landscaping to hide the site.
